Maral Sassouni has worked as an illustrator for about 20 years.  Born in Philadelphia, she grew up in Playa del Rey, a small beach town in Southern California.  She was educated at the University of California (undergraduate: Design, and graduate:  Film), the University of London/British Institute and the Ecole du Louvre.  Her life’s path has taken her from L.A. to Philadelphia to New York, as well as to Amsterdam, an English village and a Greek island.  She now lives and works in Paris.

Using watercolor, ink, gouache, and the occasional pixel, Maral tackles assignments with enthusiasm and fluency producing work that has been published widely by editorial and publishing clients around the world as well as some corporate, advertising and design firms.  A few are listed to the right.

Maral is easy to work with, a true professional with a solid track record, a quick wit and most of all, really quite good at what she does.  Even if I do say so myself.
